Hidden Lanes self-guided and guided tours & experiences

one of our own projects, Hidden Lanes creates interactive self-guided /guided tours and experiences

During COVID-19 we hatched a plan to create a self-guided interactive digital walking tour of Ballarat. We applied and obtained a Federal arts grant and created the first Ballarat Hidden Lanes self-guided tour. From there, after a lot of public support, we created more tours including a self-guided tour for the Ballarat Heritage Festival. In 2024 we launched guided tours of Ballarat. Currently we are developing an app-like experience for our self-guided tours that will be launched later this year.

physical guidebook and interactive digital guide

First we created a digital interactive pdf guidebook with links to the short films, Google directions and podcasts. Then, we created and printed a physical guidebook with QR codes to the various links.

Media, PR, VIP’s

We created media releases which were sent out to our local newspaper, TV and radio stations. As a result we were featured in The Courier newspaper and the Ballarat Times and other media including ABC Radio. We had the Mayor attend one of our tours as well as various city councillors.
